My husband and I never wanted to be faced with a situation in which we were unable to provide the best medical care possible for our two dogs, Shadow and Chance. In 2002 Chance was diagnosed with a kidney abnormality that required removal. Without this expensive procedure Chance would have died. We never hesitated about going forward with the surgery because we knew PetCare was there for us.
Five months later Chance repaid us by saving our son's life! While my son was sleeping Chance came to find me and started growling, barking and whining which is something that is very uncharacteristic for him. I dropped what I was doing and discovered my 5 month old son choking in his crib. My husband and I know that if it had not been for PetCare we would not have Chance and we shudder to think what may have happened to our son that day. |

I wanted to write to let you know how thrilled I am that I got both of my dogs covered a little over a year ago. Within a month of moving, Buzz, our big 90 lb baby, tore both of his ACL's. After relocating and starting a new business, we were looking at two surgeries, for $6000.00 total. I was freaking out, slowly our down payment on a home was widdling away. I remembered I had insurance, submitted my first claim and received my first $2000.00 check within two weeks!! Well that was good because while Buzz convalesced from his first surgery we took his sister out so she wouldnt overstimulate him. Guess what happened to her knee? She blew it out. She had to have the same surgery. PetCare Insurance was truly a God send. The customer service is thoughtful and the claims department is thorough. I did a lot of research on pet insurance and I can't endorse PetCare enough.

Dear PetCare insurance, you have been a lifesaver. This is the first time I have purchased pet insurance in my life. I have a 4 year old Siberian Husky and never at this age did I think I would have to use this Insurance so early in her life. Kia's condition was Bilateral rupture of the cranial cruciate ligaments, (both hind legs) WOW!! I thought I would go insane, she had a long but very good recovery, and I thank you PetCare insurance, because without your help this may not have been possible. My claim was $ 2745.36 and you Paid $ 2,639.62. Thank You, Thank You. Client: Evelyn Russell |

When I signed my cats up for PetCare insurance I had no idea how wonderful it would be. Nova had a urinary tract infection and required surgery. PetCare paid almost the entire amount of the surgery plus they paid all of the cost of the medications and prescription food. When I got my Brussels Griffon I immediately signed her up. Several months later she needed surgery for a luxated patella and PetCare paid all but my $100 deductible. This is the best and only pet insurance to buy....I told my vet about it and had PetCare send him brochures to put in his office and have recommended them to my family and friends. I highly recommend PetCare Pet Insurance to anyone who has a pet. My German Shepherd mix is seven years old and I've had insurance on her since she was a year old. Kinlay, our two year old Labradoodle, is usually very spirited. He is a boisterous and high-energy fellow, who needs lots of gentle reminders to refrain from surfing the kitchen countertop and stealing socks! One day, he didn’t seem himself. He was very quiet and wanted to go outside constantly. We could tell that this unusual behavior was a clue that something was wrong. We took Kinlay to our veterinarian and a test confirmed Kinlay had a urinary tract infection. We were given antibiotics and we dropped our claim in the mailbox that afternoon. PetCare returned our claim with a cheque within one week! When I called to thank PetCare the customer service representative was friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely interested in Kinlay’s recovery. It was such a pleasure dealing with PetCare’s courteous and professional staff! We never expected a young dog like Kinlay to fall ill, but when he did, we were glad PetCare was there! Thank you so very much for being there during our recent crisis with DJ and the poisoning incident! We think it was the canned dog food that has been recalled nation-wide that caused her illness. She presented symptoms of vomiting, weakness, panting, thirsting, and could barely walk. She was originally misdiagnosed with cancer and we were told we may have to put her down, but we chose to wait, doubting the diagnosis. DJ required IV, tests, and hospitalization for several days; all of which was covered by PetCare. When she got back from the hospital I put her on raw foods and she bounced right back and seems better than ever! Camo is a very active bulldog. In fact, I'm sure he's probably one of
the first bulldogs to climb the White Mountains in NH! We decided to
get PetCare Insurance since Bulldogs are known to be injury-prone. Six
months ago, Camo began to limp on his right rear leg. Our Vet
identified minor slippage of the knee cap, or "Luxating Patella",
likely a result of his active lifestyle. We tried treating him with
joint supplements but unfortunately the condition deteriorated to the
point where he was limping regularly and in a substantial amount of
pain. At that point we made the decision to have the condition
corrected by surgery. Making a claim with PetCare was very easy and I
received fast reimbursement. I didn't know what to expect when we
submitted the claim, but much to my pleasure there were no challenges with PetCare Insurance! Client: J. Edwin Upson Pet: Camo, Bulldog, 2 years old Condition: Patella Luxation Claim submitted:$3,442.44 Claim Paid: $3,000 |

When I first adopted Harley, I discovered PetCare Pet Insurance through a flyer that came through the mail. I quickly enrolled him in one of the policies offered by PetCare. It had been a few months and I was thinking about canceling my policy, but I couldn’t find the number to call. Thankfully, I never found the phone number because suddenly Harley began vomiting repeatedly and was quite lifeless in personality. I immediately took him to the vet where they discovered he had a hemoabdomen/liver laceration; the vet told me that Harley would not live past the night without surgery. I immediately said yes to the procedure because I knew that PetCare would cover some of the cost. When it came time to make my claim I was happy to discover how quick and easy it was and I was even happier when my cheque came to me a week later. I was so impressed with the service provided to me through PetCare I even upgraded my policy. I recommend everyone get a policy with PetCare insurance, it’s the best thing you can do if you own a pet. Dear PetCare, I just want to thank you for “being there” for my four dogs! For years I never had any accidents or illnesses. But a friend recommended that I get insurance “just in case.” Since getting the insurance last year, I’ve had a broken leg claim, an ear surgery claim two pancreatitis claims and a broken tooth claim among the list of accidents and illnesses. In total, I’ve had to make over $10,000 in claims since signing up with you! (Sorry about that!) I never want to be put in a position where I have to decide if I can afford treatment for my babies. With PetCare Insurance, I know I will never be put in that position. |

I’ve had my Vizsla named Elke for six and half years. She’s always been prone to benign cysts and one day I noticed a large bump rising out of her back. I took her to the vet assuming I’d be told it was simply another benign cyst, but the vet told me he had some concerns; that he wanted to get Elke into surgery and perform a biopsy of this new lump. Surgery was performed and during the procedure the vet felt it was best to remove the entire mass. After tissue analysis, it was determined that Elke had cancer. The vet recommended chemotherapy as a follow-up to the surgery. I want to thank PetCare for the amazing coverage you provide and the very helpful staff you employ, it has made all the difference in the world during this difficult time. Making the claim was easy and I received my payment within days of making it. Your kind and helpful staff answered all my questions about coverage of chemotherapy. As I live in a high cost of living area, having Elke enrolled in PetCare helps me see the bigger picture; I can now make smart decisions on what treatments I can afford to give Elke. Elke has only one more treatment to go in her chemotherapy and so far she is doing well. Thanks PetCare. Client: Lara Sullivan Pet: Elke, Vizsla Condition: Cancer Claim Paid: $1,763.40 |

Pickles is my two year old pug. A while ago, Pickles started throwing up in the middle of the night and then he stopped eating and drinking. I took him to the vet where he was at first diagnosed with gastroileitis and we were sent home. When Pickles show no sign of improvement we went back again where x-rays were taken. They showed Pickles had a bowel obstruction in his intestines. Surgery was performed and, much to my surprise, two stuffed animal eye balls were removed. I’d like to thank PetCare for helping me out with his medical expenses. I had absolutely no trouble when it came time for me to make the claim, even though I had only purchased the policy a month before Pickles’ surgery and, best of all, I received the cheque quickly. It really proved to me that I had made the right choice for a pet insurance; keep up the good work PetCare! Both Pickles and I really appreciate it. Bartleby, my three year old cat, was hit by a car and badly injured. We rushed him to the vet to find that he had broken one leg and dislocated a hip. Bartleby’s vet set the broken leg, but was unable to handle the dislocated hip and also told me that the leg that he just set would also need surgery and quickly referred us to a specialist. The specialist then performed surgery to remove the damaged femoral head in the dislocated hip and fixed the broken leg. I was so relieved to have pet insurance with PetCare; I had only enrolled Bartleby a month prior to his accident. I was initially worried that because of the recent enrollment that it might take longer to receive my reimbursement, I was wrong. No sooner had I sent all of Bartleby’s medical records with his claim I received a check in the mail. Now Bartleby is a happy, healthy cat who now enjoys life indoors. Thank you PetCare because of you I was able to afford the surgery to make sure Bartleby remained part of my family. We adopted our cat from The New Haven Animal Shelter in July 2003, and named her Seabiscuit - in honor of the gritty, brave, and quirky equine hero. Seabiscuit, a five-year-old calico cat, had just weaned her beautiful litter of five at the shelter and was looking for a home. As a longtime volunteer at the shelter, I was aware of PetCare's excellent insurance program for shelter animals and decided to get it for our new Biscuit. In retrospect, I am very glad I did. Shortly after we brought her home, Biscuit was diagnosed with asthma - then only a few months later, mammary cancer. She is doing very well now and her prognosis is excellent. But throughout her illnesses, it was tremendously reassuring to know that PetCare was there to help. When I called for information, your staff was always courteous and sensitive. And PetCare's reimbursement was fast and simple! The Biscuit and I thank you for the peace-of-mind. Thank you so much for compensating the cost of Spooky’s surgery so fast! I never thought I would have to use the insurance I took out for Spooky, but felt it was a good idea to have it. After his accident, the hospital in my town, which is full of caring, happy people, attended to Spooky’s needs and the needs of other animals 24 hours a day. They let me visit him as many times as I wanted. Likewise, I was equally impressed with PetCare’s services. I just wanted to say thank you to Petcare for your awesome service! My 1 year old puppy was bitten in the park 2 months ago by another dog, which led to a $300 vet bill including an x-ray and stitches. My MasterCare policy covered $250 of that $300 and they had a check mailed to me within 2 weeks. I just think pet insurance is the most amazing thing and I don't understand why everyone doesn't have it. I obtained your $30 a month coverage when my Abby was 4 months, and she was injured at 10 months. That means that at $30/mo for 6 months I've paid in $180. The policy has paid for itself almost 2 times over! Thank you to your call centre for their kindness and knowledge and to your claim centre for their prompt response. I plan on having this coverage for a long time, with my current pet and pets to come. Claim Paid: $250.00 |

Ellee Mae was just 4 months old when I was doing renovations on the kitchen. I had mixed up a bucket of wallpaper remover and water and went upstairs. When I visited my vet's office, I saw PetCare's pet insurance brochures on display. After reading about their accident and illness programs, I took out a policy for Buddy, my Golden Retriever. Boy was I glad that I did! It was not long after purchasing the insurance that Buddy developed an acute allergic reaction. He experienced itchy, inflamed bumps in his neck, throat and abdominal area. Left untreated, the condition would have been terminal. Over the course of his treatment, Buddy saw six different veterinarians. It was comforting to know I could go forward with the treatment, and did not need to worry about the high cost of the procedures. Today Buddy is happy and healthy. Thank-you PetCare! Dear PetCare - I can´t express how wonderful
to give the gift of a longer life to our elderly cat. He is 18, has had an eye
removed for cancer, and thanks to PetCare is continuing to be stronger. (I have
to add an endorsement for pet foods like Pets4Life, which has helped him recover
and resist illness. His digestion and health have made a complete turn for the
best).
Nipper has grown along my son and is such an important member of our family.
I am so grateful that PetCare does not discard our older pets and in effect
shares our view of them as cherished parts of us. How tragic to ever think of
letting them die because of lack of money. |

Our cat Curtis, fondly known as “The Little Guy,” only weighs 7 lbs. When he was about four years old, we decided to get him pet insurance from PetCare at the recommendation of our vet. You see, Curtis has a sensitive digestive system and is on a special diet to help him through everyday life. Unfortunately you can’t predict everything. In this past year, Curtis has had two operations - one for foreign body ingestion and a second for gastroenteritis. After submitting our claim, PetCare immediately reimbursed me for both operations and I am grateful for the role that PetCare has taken in caring for Curtis' life. He loves his life and we love him. I'm writing to express my heartfelt gratitude in regards to the assistance PetCare provided me when my husky, Skye, became suddenly ill. A large bump was discovered in her chest on a Thursday. I scheduled an appointment with her vet for Friday... Unexpectedly, I had to leave the office without my angel because the vet informed me that she had a tumor that required immediate removal. Knowing that I had insurance to help pay medical expenses was a tremendous relief - I was so distraught at having to leave her that the last thing I needed to worry about was a $1,500.00 bill! Less than 2 weeks later, a cheque arrived from Petcare to reimburse me for every penny! (minus the deductible) I highly recommend PetCare to anyone considering pet health insurance. My husband had been to get an oil change and the men at the garage had kindly put a free bottle of windshield washer fluid in the back seat. However, they forgot to tell him. On the way home he stopped by the grocery store. Zoe, my 3-year-old boxer, was in the back seat and bit into and drank the washer fluid! Zoe was immediately sick and we rushed her to our local veterinarian. We were then hurried to the Animal Hospital where they were more equipped to deal with poisonings. At first they didn't think Zoe would make it, but she pulled through. She stayed in the hospital for 2 days. Without PetCare Zoe would have been put down. PetCare covered a huge amount of the bill. I signed up for QuickCare Gold on the website for my dog Oscar in the winter. I first heard about PetCare Insurance when I read an article in the New York Times about the topic of pet insurance. The article featured PetCare and included your phone number and website in it. I saved the article and finally decided to take out a PetCare policy about 8 months later. Just 1 month after I signed up for QuickCare Gold, my dog broke his tooth. The broken tooth was quite serious because a nerve had been exposed. I had the option of pulling the tooth or having a root canal completed. My vet strongly recommended the root canal treatment. Veterinary costs are rising. The field of animal medicine has advanced rapidly in past decades allowing veterinarians to successfully treat conditions that were previously considered untreatable. However with these advances has come an increase in the cost of veterinary care. It is estimated that North American pet owners now spend over $10 billion a year on healthcare for their pets. |

One day when I was out, 2 year old Patch (who is a real live wire!), got
into my briefcase and managed to eat a bottle of Motrin. When I got home,
Patch was shaking like a leaf. We rushed him to Emergency, where he was
put on intravenous and kept overnight, after that he was kept for three
more nights at his regular veterinarians. Thank goodness for PetCare Insurance.
Patch was treated right away and my claim was paid quickly too. Both my
dogs are insured with PetCare and I am very pleased with the results.
I continually tell friends and colleges about PetCare and all it has done
for us. Client: Margaret Mettimano Pet: Patch, Jack Russell Terrier - 2 years old Condition: Poisoning Claim Submitted: $523.20 Claim Paid $471.17 |

Our dogs love to run around our property, however sometimes they come home with cuts and abrasions. It made us wonder what we would do if something more serious happened. We had heard about PetCare through our veterinarian and thought it sounded like a good idea... Well it was a good idea! One day Abby came home vomiting. She had hives and trouble breathing. We were terrified. We rushed her to the veterinarian, who said she must have eaten some type of poison. She was treated immediately and now Abby is back to her happy self. It helped knowing that any costs we were to incur were covered with PetCare Insurance. Thank you PetCare. When I visited my vet's office, I saw
PetCare's pet insurance brochures on display. After reading about their
accident and illness programs, I took out a policy for Buddy, my Golden
Retriever. Boy was I glad that I did! It was not long after purchasing
the insurance that Buddy developed an acute allergic reaction. He experienced
itchy, inflamed bumps in his neck, throat and abdominal area. Left untreated,
the condition would have been terminal. Over the course of his treatment,
Buddy saw six different veterinarians. It was comforting to know I could
go forward with the treatment, and did not need to worry about the high
cost of the procedures. Today Buddy is happy and healthy. Thank-you PetCare. Client: Wendy Mills Pet: Buddy, Golden Retriever Condition: Skin Problems Claim Submitted: $2096.60 Claim Paid: $2046.60 |

We heard about PetCare Insurance through our local veterinarian. Zoe has a great personality, is wonderful with children and the joy of my life. Client: Dianna Siteman Pet: Zoe, Boxer, 3 years old Condition: Poison Ingestion Claim Submitted: $1160.32 Claim Paid: $1110.32 |

Ellee Mae was just 4 months old when I was doing renovations on the kitchen. I had mixed up a bucket of wallpaper remover and water and went upstairs. I was barely out of the room before I realized the danger of the bucket and an active puppy. When I returned Ellee Mae began to vomit almost immediately. She was brought to emergency where she was kept overnight and then for one more day at her own veterinarian's. I am so happy to have had PetCare Insurance to help cover the expenses. I learned a very valuable lesson that day. Client: Denis Charette Pet: Ellee Mae - Bernese Mountain Dog Condition: Poison Ingestion Claim Paid: $597.68 |

I heard about PetCare through the Internet. My veterinarian also mentioned that PetCare was known to handle their claims promptly and without hassle. One day, my cat Neo ate a pair of earplugs! First I took him to the veterinarian and then I called PetCare to make sure the costs were covered. The customer care department was fantastic. Neo required extensive medical attention... surgery, medication, and overnight care. The bills were large, but I did not suffer financially - my claim was paid right away. Did I mention their staff were awesome?!
Neo is now back to doing backflips in the air and talking my ear off. He is quite the chatterbox Client: Jody Winder Pet: Neo - Domestic Shorthair - 2 years old Condition: Foreign Body Ingestion Claim Submitted: $1332.40 Claim Paid: $1269.85 |

Thanks PetCare! Client: Margaret MacKayr Pet: Curtis – Domestic Shorthair – 7 years old |

I signed up with PetCare this past summer. The programs seemed straight forward, and even though Hudson was 10 years old, he wasn't excluded from any of them. Only 2 months after signing up with PetCare, I noticed that Hudson was drinking a lot more water than usual. I took him to the vet for a check-up and found out that he was diabetic. Today Hudson is very happy and healthy, and is down from 3 injections to only 1 a day!
The PetCare Pet Insurance Programs are represented truthfully, and I was surprised at how fast I received my claims check. I had heard some negative stories about insurance companies in the past… but I'm glad I took a chance with PetCare! Client: Roger Mullins, Tennessee Pet: Hudson - Domestic Longhair - 11 Yrs old Condition: Diabetes Mellitus Claim Submitted: $610.05 Claim Paid :$410.05 |

Petcare truly does provide peace-of-mind at a time when all you care about is the safety and health of your beloved pet. Client: Jennifer Alderson Pet: Skye - Siberian Husky - 5 1/2 years old Condition: Skin Ailment Claim Submitted: $1545.05 Claim Paid: $1495.05 |

After doing my research, I picked PetCare Insurance for my dog, Hugo, because not only do you offer many choices about costs and plans, you also offer an automatic monthly payment that is debited from my credit card - payments I hardly noticed! I also opted for the most extensive coverage; coverage I feel is not offered by other pet insurance companies.
A few months after enrolling, I found some 'lumps and bumps' on Hugo that needed surgery. There was blood work, operating room expenses, lab fees and surgical fees. Following a report from my veterinarian, which I submitted to PetCare Insurance, I was reimbursed for all expenses per my policy and received this within a timely fashion.
A few months after that, I had an accident resulting in a torn hamstring muscle and I was admitted to the hospital. Hugo was taken to a pet care facility and it was three weeks before I was able to resume caring for him. The cost was several hundred dollars. Fortunately, I'd chosen a plan with PetCare Insurance that reimbursed me for just this kind of occurrence; a situation I could never imagine happening!
By the way, Hugo has just passed the national Delta Society qualifying test as a certified Therapy Dog. PetCare Insurance has made it possible for Hugo to give something back to the community, too! Client: Rose Klevansky, Philadelphia Pet: Hugo - Poodle - 8 years old Conditions: Mass removal; boarding kennel fees Claim Paid: $661.93 |

We all love our pets, they’re part of the family and life wouldn’t be the same without them. Pets give us love, companionship and bring great joy into our lives. All they ask of us in return is that we love them, feed them and look after them in sickness and in health. |
